What is Copyright?

In my own view, copyright include protection of the Copyright owners (Owners including musicians, writers, inventors, etc.) on their work that they created. All the time they dedicated must be honoured and their ideas must be protected from being stolen. The rights in copying “some” of their work must be granted by them………the law related to copyright in South Africa is the Copyright Act 78 or 1978.

Examples of protected works include:

Music compositions
Dramatic works
Literary works
Choreographic works
Graphics and pictorial
Audio-visuals
Sound recordings
Architectural works, etc.
